Window Restoration Project


Window Deterioration

Considerable deterioration has occurred to Durand Union Station's original oak windows and frames over the years. The depot has approximately one hundred large windows; window restoration is a major project. These windows were temporarily repaired with wood putty and paint to slow the decay.



Rotted Window Sill

Restoration will begin soon to replace the rotted frames and sills. Estimated cost per window is $250 - $300. We have funds to repair about 10 windows.
